VOLUNTEERS HELP MAKE THE NEWBURGH ILLUMINATED FESTIVAL A SUCCESS.

DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HELP? APPLY TO JOIN ONE OF OUR COMMITTEES.

It would then be wonderful if you could have a drop-down menu where you could join the committee, and each time you changed your selection, the description around that selection changed as well. It would then take up less space on the page and more of the page could be dedicated to building a better application form.

The Fund Raising Committee keeps the festival’s lights on; they conduct outreach to potential donors, ensure the integrity of donations, take care of our sponsors, and organize fundraising events.

The Marketing Committee is responsible for more people showing up every year; they pitch marketing strategy to the board, design the materials and timelines for distribution, and ensure consistency of message and design.

The Music Committee set the tempo of the event; they plan the music schedule, identify all required equipment, negotiate performance contracts, and coordinate with the performers all the way up until showtime.

The Logistics & Setup Committee are the real heroes with the dirtiest jobs; they are responsible for the festival layout and infrastructure, including port-o-potties and trash cans, security requirements and volunteer tents.

The Vendor Committee takes care of the Hudson Valley’s finest business owners as they serve thousands of attendees. They identify and invite potential vendors, manage vendor contracts, and work with the logistics team to create a vendor map.

The Program/Events Committee helps to get the city of Newburgh involved; they talk with other organizations, build partnerships throughout the city, and encourage festival involvement!

The Children’s Activities Committee keeps the festival young by identifying facilitators to host activities for children and families at the festival.

The Arts Committee turn the city of Newburgh into one big gallery experience for the day of the festival; they identify and work with artists to present their work to the festival in alignment with their creative vision and festival logistics.
