Overlooking the majestic Hudson River in the heart of the Hudson Valley lies the historic city of Newburgh NY.  Incorporated as a city in 1865, Newburgh is rich in history and architecture, with properties, parks and homes designed by Downing, Olmsted, Vaux and many of the other notable American architects of the time.  Just over an hour’s drive or train ride from New York City, Newburgh is also home to George Washington’s Headquarters and offers spectacular views of Mt. Beacon, all manner of authentic international food, and a diverse community of residents, internationally recognized artists, and innovative small businesses and makers.

All businesses, churches, youth groups and non-profit organization are encouraged to participate in the festival by sponsoring a booth, having an event, decorating your business windows, having special Newburgh Illuminated sales or promotions or by displaying your merchandise on the sidewalk for the day. Businesses are encouraged to light up your windows for the month of June.
